EMERGENCY FIRST AID at WORK [EFAW]: 1 Day
The Emergency First Aid at Work course can be adapted to suit a particular audience in line with the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. The course is run over one day and includes both theory and practical sessions, in a relaxed atmosphere, designed to boost a candidate’s confidence.
This course enables you to:
- Understand First Aid priorities
- Manage incidents
- Provide basic life support
- Examine a casualty
- Deal with unconsciousness
- Control bleeding
- Deal with burns and scalds
- Know the regulations
- Equip First Aid kits
- Record and report
Certification is dependent on successful continuous assessment of the student and final exam. Those students who complete the course and are deemed to have reached the required standard are issued with a certificate that is valid for three years.
Those designated with First Aid responsibilities or working in situations where it would be a useful skill.
